Subject: Short Course – Structural Elucidation of Organic Compounds by NMR: A Practical Approach

We are pleased to invite you to participate in a short, two-day educational course entitled:

"Structural Elucidation of Organic Compounds by NMR: A Practical Approach"

The course will take place on 15.-16.07.2025., at the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Pharmacy. (15.07.- from 11:00 to 15:00 and 16.07. - from 12:00 to 16:00)

Led by Prof. Riccardo Barboni (University of Camerino, Italy), the course will offer a practical introduction to the use of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in the structural elucidation of organic compounds. Participants will engage with both theoretical concepts and practical examples, including analysis of real spectra and problem-solving exercises.

Agenda:

  • Meeting 1 (2h): Introduction to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance.
    1H-NMR and 13C-NMR: A Practical Approach
  • Meeting 2 (2h): Introduction to Advanced Mono- and Two-Dimensional NMR Techniques.
    A Practical Approach
  • Meeting 3 (2h): Structural Elucidation of Organic Compounds by NMR – Part 1
  • Meeting 4 (2h): Structural Elucidation of Organic Compounds by NMR – Part 2
  • Meeting 5 (2h): Structural Elucidation of Organic Compounds by NMR – Part 3
